Everything we do is interconnected with nature, and our aim is to minimize our ecological footprint as much as possible. We aspire for future generations to relish the wonders of nature just as much as we do. A significant aspect of our guides' responsibilities is to educate about environmental conservation while ensuring that we leave the natural habitats as pristine as we found them.

Our quality assurance system encompasses various measures:

• Providing guests with information about vulnerable animal and plant species in the area.

• Ensuring that all waste is properly disposed of.

• Utilizing reusable and washable cooking and serving utensils.

• Obtaining necessary permissions from authorities when operating in national parks, each of which may have specific restrictions related to wildlife or conservation areas.

• Minimizing customer transportation by situating trip starting points close to railway or bus stations.

In collaboration with governmental bodies, we strive to preserve significant cultural structures when operating in natural environments. Many of the areas we inhabit are utilized by the South Sami people for reindeer herding. We actively educate our guests about their history, culture, and present circumstances, while maintaining a respectful distance from reindeers to avoid disruption. Through a year-long partnership with a Sami family in Røros, we have gained a profound understanding of their challenges in preserving ancient traditions in modern society.

A core objective of our company is to ensure that nature experiences are accessible to all demographics, with a particular focus on youth and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. Scientific research supports the benefits of spending time in nature, including improved cooperation, physical health, and mental well-being.

Annually, we organize free wilderness tours for groups facing economic challenges or social difficulties, partly sponsored by the Norwegian government. Moreover, our longstanding collaboration with a school in Trondheim involves utilizing nature as an alternative learning environment to foster better engagement and concentration among students.

We offer complimentary use of skiing, camping, and cooking gear to our customers, aiming to discourage unnecessary purchases and promote a circular economy. Our equipment is available for rent during periods of non-use, further extending its lifespan.

In our efforts to minimize waste, we prioritize equipment repair over replacement, partnering with Barents Outdoor for repairs. We endorse second-hand purchases and borrowing to reduce reliance on new gear, emphasizing that survival in nature is primarily reliant on skills and experience.
